About Me

Hello, I'm Kat Jackson.

I am an HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist with additional qualifications in Children's Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dyadic Therapy and Nature-Based Therapy.

I have 20 years of experience in therapeutic interventions for children, young people and adults. For the last 10+ years as a qualified psychotherapist I have specialised working with trauma and loss, and the manifestations of that within the body. My work is grounded in compassion, authenticity and the belief that every person deserves a safe space to be heard and understood.

My professional background has given me extensive experience supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, adversity, emotional distress and complex life circumstances. I understand that healing is not about "fixing" people, but about creating opportunities for growth, self-understanding and internal connection.

Alongside my professional experience, I have personal insight into the realities of caring for a child with additional needs. This perspective deepens my understanding of the pressures, emotional demands and resilience often required of parents and carers navigating complex systems and responsibilities, and the immense stress and trauma this puts on the body.
